Who: The students and faculty of the University of Conneticut.
What: They are all preparing for the h1n1 disease to strike their area. Ordering sanatizer and and medicines are important measures they're taking to prevent the outbreak.
When: Over this previous summer. The Conneticut Department of Health and Yale University helped prepare people for the expected coming of the virus.
Where: STORRS, Conneticut, the campus of the University of Conneticut.
Why: To prevent h1n1 from infecting a high number of students and teachers.
My opinion on this is that people are making a bigger deal about this flu. This isn't any more fatal or dangerous than the regular flu. Sure, you should definetly take precautions like bring in hand santizer and things, but people shouldn't be that worried about it. Making these vaccines is just another way for companies to make money off of our worries about the flu. And, as in the article, there is more than one company making vaccines. Once I read this part about a new medicine for h1n1 being made, I thought that the companies are trying to compete against each other's medicine to make more money than the other. I know by experience that the swine flu is not so bad, and usually does not last longer than around several days. I hope that people aren't infected as much, but I'm saying not to be scared by these companies and spending money on vaccines that might not even do anything to help.
